What free means here
There is no trial and no sign-up form in front of any of them. The two calculators run in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere. The lookups have a daily limit per visitor, which is far more than one person needs.
The four tools
- IMO number checkerLook up a ship by IMO number or by name: type, flag, tonnage and last reported position. Paste a list to check many numbers at once.
- Sea distance calculatorPort to port distance by a real sea route, with days at sea, arrival time and bunker cost at your speed.
- Laytime calculatorLaytime allowed against time used, with demurrage or despatch, and a time sheet you can save as a PDF.
- TCE calculatorTime charter equivalent per day from freight, commission, bunkers, port costs and canal dues.
The guides explain the terms behind each tool, and the product does the same work for a whole desk. For busy routes there is also a list of port to port sea distances, each with its days at sea and a route map.
